Before 4790k, I used only the “fourth stump” and Core 2 Duo (there was also some more or less powerful AMD, I don’t really remember it, because I think it was given to me), so the effect of the difference in their performance was only “Wow”. I don’t work with overclocking, I don’t set special requirements for hardware. I take what I want and what suits my urgent needs. Therefore, my experience may not be solid, but good impressions have not gone away. Very worthwhile item, I recommend. Although, at the moment, based on the reserve for the future, you can take a later generation that works with DDR4. Again, gamers, I'm more of an amateur player. I watched videos and reviews on the difference in performance between DDR3 and DDR4, I didn’t see much difference for myself. Unless it shows up in tests, in dry numbers, Or if you fap for an extra 3-5 fps in games, when it's "over 140" without them.
