My printer keeps jamming - do not buy

I have used it with a Da Vinci Jr 3D printer. It often gets stuck in the printer even after I've cleaned the feeder (disassembled and cleaned the rollers thoroughly) and also cleaned the extruder nozzle by heating it to >200ยฐC and then pulling the filament when the temperature reached 90ยฐ cooled was C. I did this several times but it stuck. The feeding tube has an inner diameter of 2mm, as do the two fittings. With a 1.75mm filament, a slight bend will cause it to jam and jam. The feeder is separate from the extruder. This means that the thread guide pushes the thread forward. This means that the thread can bend easily and form a slight kink somewhere. Printing is great when the printer is running, but the longest I can print continuously is probably 2-3 hours. It's frustrating to say the least. Unfortunately, you can only use their proprietary filament with an NFC chip. I returned the Da Vinci Jr printer and I have to say I was very happy to get rid of it. I bought another brand and was able to quickly print parts that I couldn't with Jr. There are many competent 3D printers out there and in my opinion there is no reason to buy that proprietary printer and expensive filament that doesn't work properly.

Pros
  • Polymerized Lactic Acid (PLA) 3D printer filament has been properly tested to ensure it does not warp when printed
Cons
  • Doubtful
