This is a beautiful, durable kettle that comes in many colors! The handle is well integrated into the body. It takes about as long to boil water as all these kettles of this size, around 6 minutes, which is by no means instantaneous, but not very slow either (better than a stovetop!). sometimes simmers longer than necessary before shutting down, but it shuts down normally and only does so occasionally for no apparent reason. I've only been using it for a few months, not sure how long it will last. Here they are used extensively. Addition - after 5.5 months, with regular daily use, the handle fell off. Apparently the plastic/glue holding the handle to the glass at the top of the kettle didn't hold up to the heat(!) and the whole black part fell apart. Luckily it was only a few inches from the counter at the time so no one almost got burned by the boiling water but I've downgraded my rating and won't be buying these again, even if they're cheap. They are cheap crap!
