What a great grater! cast plastic. One piece construction. Without handle and knob. Extremely durable. Easy to clean. disassemble Remove and change friction drums. No mess when using. Cheese is not pushed out from above. The handle is very comfortable for both large and small hands (both right-handed and left-handed)! I like the white stripe around the grater cylinders. Although used to store bottles, it also serves as a guide when grating cheese on a pizza or casserole. With both, the cheese goes right to the edge without sloshing over the counter.
