CHANGE OF DESIGN AT CUSTOMER EXPENSES!

THIS FILTER IS EXPANDED, FRIGIDAIRE KNOWS BUT HAHAHA. YOU BEAR THE COSTS! The first one I ordered flew out while filling up, fell to the ground and crashed. Revain's customer service was great and they replaced it. But when the second device also catapulted several times while filling up, I connected to the internet to do a little research and then called Frigidaire! When I first called they didn't admit that the reason for my problem was their design change. But when I told the company rep that I already knew from information posted online, she asked for my serial number and then confirmed that I would need a new base part ($80) in order for the replacement filters to fit. Then I was told it would be at my expense! I told her there are other reviews online that say Frigidaire is willing to replace her part, but she told me that I am responsible for the cost as my unit is not under warranty. Serious? You make design changes and I'm responsible for them? The member of staff I spoke to was very polite but all she could do for me was document my complaint. Result. I'm shocked that a company like Frigidaire expects its customers to cover the cost of altering their designs. Buyer Warning! When you buy a Frigidaire device, they might just decide to do a random exchange and you're the one paying for it. Great business model from Frigidaire!
