Review on Bookshelf speaker system HECO Victa Prime 202 2 speakers black by Agata Burzyska

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great quality, did not expect at all for the price.

It works in conjunction with the Emotiva TA-100 amplifier, while from the computer via an analog output (the built-in sound is good, Realtek HD, no matter what individual "experts" on the Internet say). I plan to buy a USB cable and let the sound through the built-in DAC of the amp. Player on the computer - foobar2022 + wasapi + Resample SoX 96 kHz. I listen only to digitization of vinyl and Reel-to-Reel in quality not lower than 24/96 (Beatles, Zeppelins, Pink Floyd, etc.). I have not had time to listen to live vinyl on them yet, but so far the digital collection is enough for my eyes. At first, there was not enough bass, like many, but, having figured out the instructions for the amp, I added bass and highs - now it’s hard to force myself to turn off the equipment, not to break away :) I already deleted a couple of digitizations that seemed tolerably sounding on the previous system. For those who are going to buy these speakers, I advise you to carefully consider the choice of an amp - the sound quality will depend on it, these speakers require an attentive attitude. . The post above was written almost immediately after the purchase. Now the system has been in the same bundle for almost four years, I listen from a computer via a USB cable (24/96). After a few months of active listening, the system sounded much better, after a year, the sound became perfect for me. Now the basses on the amp are set to zero, the tops are set to 7 (out of 10; I really like sibilants, maybe my hearing is also hooked, I played in a rock band). I do not twist the equalizer on the player. When forced to listen to mp3 files, I remove the lows on the amp below zero, otherwise the rumble, and not the bass - the system has become very sensitive to the quality of the source material. On vinyl and tape rips in 24/96 resolution, there is never a hum. The only thing I would add to the system is a subwoofer - Metallica does not sound, there is not enough barrel :) But I rarely listen to such music, usually classic rock and jazz, and the system copes with such music (to my hearing and taste) just perfectly. I hope this information will be useful to someone.
