It seems like a luxury until you try to find a reliable keeper for your expensive diamonds.
When it comes to tool sharpening, diamond stones are the new standard. This stand fits most sizes of DMT stones and will hold them securely even when you rinse them with water. Get one that works with all sizes for a few bucks more, but I had to trade it in when the 8 inch brick didn't fit. The slightly more expensive DUO base fits both stone designs.
