I was busy looking for a non-white nature for my brown grandson to play with. Well, as a white grandma, I knew Jesus was brown, Israeli, I just had no idea nobody gives birth to non-white people. I found and bought a good one from Ebony Treasures, but it wasn't made for a child to move people and animals. So it works and was affordable. but it's not pretty. Roughly carved figures make it difficult to distinguish Mary from a shepherd, or Joseph, or a donkey from a cow. Nevertheless it works.
