Update #3: FINALLY a success! Crucial step to get this mesh system working: Once installed, go to Deco app -> Settings -> Advanced -> IPv6 -> Enable -> Reboot Deco system [Skip the next step, when you set it up for the first time] Then "Forget networks" on all your devices that were on this Deco Mesh network, then add all your devices to the Deco network again, then reboot all your devices ( unplug, wait 30 seconds, plug in and reboot). Finally, confirm that IPv6 is enabled in the Deco application (same steps as above). Test the speed on your phone or laptop with Speedtest or Fast(dot)com. The steps above eventually resolved the random disconnects and slowness, including my slow web TV connections. The connection speed is at least 10x faster and Netflix loads much faster and in HD or 4k resolution! I literally wanted to factory reset and bring the Deco system back. I went into advanced settings to find reset when I saw the IPv6 setting was disabled. Read a bit about it, thought it might be worth a try, and here we are! This setting uses the latest technology for network traffic. Seems to be an oversight that TP-Link's default setting doesn't include IPv6 in Enabled. Update after 27 days of use: 2 stars and return of the set. 2 laptops, my phone etc keep dropping out every few days, my web tvs are very slow and there is no clear solution from TP-Link support. My Google Nest Mesh network (WiFi 5) offers the best speeds and I never experience device dropouts. And WiFi 6 speeds are very rare. First feedback after 14 days: Overall I don't feel "right". but with this Deco X60 Mesh with WiFi 6 I hope for future improvements with firmware. I also have a Nest Wifi Mesh setup that I like, but it's WiFi 5. Here are some tips: Wifi Mesh is MUCH BETTER than a single router. Both my Nest and Deco provide much better coverage than a single router. I also sent a Wi-Fi 5 Deco Mesh to a friend and it greatly improved coverage, range and therefore speed and stability. So investing in a mesh system is definitely worth it compared to a single router. I also tried a single TP-Link Wifi 6 router but returned it because the range wasn't as good as the mesh so the speed and stability wasn't great. Deco X60 and Wifi 6 were launched in 2019. However, if your devices (PC, phone, tablets, etc.) were released before 2019, they may not support WiFi 6. So you will never get speed 6, but you can connect many devices and it will be better for future devices. .Check your phone/pc specs for WiFi 6, then choose a good WiFi mesh and save some money if they release in 2018 or earlier. My MS Surface Pro 6 does not support WiFi 6 so it can never take full advantage of Deco. I spoke to Deco support to find out why my phone doesn't support WiFi 6 speeds. Nicole was fantastic and helpful chatting (early bank holiday morning!) She confirmed Deco was set up correctly, the ISP speed and asked me to check the ethernet speed of my PC. After about 35 minutes of conversation, it all depends on either Deco's wireless network speed or my ISP. But the Deco app and the Google Home apps show that the ISP is ok and the speed is over 900Mbps. So it's most likely a Deco that peaked at 350Mbps down and 400Mbps down (which is very fast!), but Deco doesn't live up to or even come close to the advertised 1Gbps, and I usually see less than 200Mbps, which is the same as my Wifi 5 Mesh. Hence my Mech. and 3 star rating.
