I ordered a medium model and it fits perfectly in a 3 gallon tank. Anything else would prevent my beta space from floating around in the tank. He seems to enjoy swimming in and jumping out the other side. I bought it for privacy with my cat and in the shade when the sun hits at a certain angle. Very fragile, breaks easily. The bottom has a very sharp edge on the inside so I erased everything I could without breaking it and covered it with gravel so my beta wouldn't get hurt. I'm glad I didn't order a small one, it would have been too small.
