This rating is for the six-chip version. I think it's well made with quality components. The fan is a bit noisy, which is my only (though minor) complaint. FYI Peltier devices have a complex relationship between differential temperature and supply current. These devices are not the most efficient at their maximum currents and have many criteria to keep them efficient. With the test rig I built today, I believe this device will serve my purpose of cooling 12 35Ah SLA batteries in a shed where the ambient temperature reaches 90 degrees Fahrenheit. I want to keep batteries below 80 degrees with a target temperature of 75 degrees. without air conditioning. With the Peltier units connected to the 3S2P and about 12V - 18V applied to them, the supply air easily reaches 55 degrees at an ambient temperature of 72 degrees at the radiator. I believe I can achieve a 20 degree difference which will take me below 80 degrees. Power consumption isn't too bad at 80-120W, which is much lower than that of an air conditioner. (I bought another one after a few hours of work.)
