The utility company that supplies water to my house keeps increasing the pressure - it's currently around 80psi and I can see the pipes bursting as the valves close. I looked at several different pressure reducing valves and settled on this Watts because they are a reputable company in the plumbing industry, the valve is lead free and the parts are user replaceable. I bought a TPK-QC QuickConnect kit separately which turns the intake side into a QuickConnect (similar to SharkBite). I couldn't find it on Revain so I had to buy it on eBay. The valve was easy to install and I could adjust the pressure. It claims to be set at 50psi - my gauge is more like 42 so I increased it. While it didn't completely solve my pipe rattle problem, it was much better than before. The valve has a mesh screen on the inlet side that can be removed and cleaned if necessary.
