Initial impression: Feels good in the hand. Battery fits very secure into the tool. They can be easily removed with a pinch and wiggle, but the battery doesn't rattle at all in the tool. Both batteries were almost fully charged when they arrived.I don't know if it is the case or the tool itself, but something has a very weird smell (plastic?) that mostly went away once I cleaned it really well with isopropyl alcohol, and then gave it a good lube.On page 6 of the printed instructions that come with the tool, it says that you can remove the output shaft spring (snap ring) and the output shaft, and then 3/8" and 1/4" can be swapped. It did not come with a 1/4" output shaft - instead it came with an external 3/8 -> 1/4 adapter. This obviously still works, but the adapter will add 3/4" of length to any sockets, and it won't allow you to get into some areas that may have tighter clearances.I really like the variable speed trigger. It feels like there is enough tension and amount of distance that the paddle switch travels, and you can control the speed very well.The LED light activates when the paddle is pushed even a little, which allows you to see where the socket is before you make it turn. The LED light isn't super bright, but does shine directly towards the output shaft and helps you see what you are doing.I'm looking forward to using this some more, for all kinds of home and mostly automotive projects.
