In a small room in my house, there is a switch that plugs into an outlet between the bed and the wall. As the room is so small it is impossible to move the bed to another more comfortable place. This outlet is also the closest to a table that can have a lamp on it. However, because of the bed, it was difficult to install the normal lamp plug without crushing and damaging it. This cable solved that problem! I had to push the bed away from the wall just far enough to put the entire plug and my hands in, but once it was in I put the bed back, leaving enough room to check in the future. . I ordered a 3 foot length and that plus the 4 foot length of my lamp cord was enough to extend beyond the length of the bed.
