The first time I put the lid on it took about 30 minutes. I had the top down, but I was still in the jeep. This cover does not fit over a soft top. So I removed the top completely. The cover fits over the door frames, eliminating the need to remove them. I also have rock sliders which will have you look elsewhere to hook the tether straps under the doors. Now that I know where to mount them under the rails, the installation time has come down to around 5-6 minutes. Taking it off takes a little longer as you need to fold the case down to the right size to fit in your pocket. Once installed, the cover stays in place and provides excellent weather protection. Even in strong winds. Prevents stray cats and other creatures from entering, even at night. Reading the installation instructions can help get you in the right direction faster. Hope that helps.
