Good model, nothing more. Even very much, considering that I got it for free (like a whale): the minimum price was the same for a carcass and a whale. I especially want to highlight the 18mm focal length, since there comes a time when this lens seems bad, you want to have fixes and then you understand that you need to pay more than 10000 for a wide-angle fix. Separately, I would buy such a lens just for 18mm. Shoot exactly at 18mm and understand whether you need to buy an expensive fifty dollars. as a station wagon it is more profitable to take ef 28-90 separately for 1500 used. Personally, I print at 10x15cm and consider it silly to look at 100-200% enlargement of a photo. Only for show-off (I did it myself). If the photo is about nothing, then a sharper lens will not help (precisely clarity, not blur). And for artistic photography, there are plenty of Soviet lenses with manual focus and aperture. For experiments - the most it! Why invest tens of thousands in this if it doesn't pay off (except for the pleasure of the pictures). And in general: I do not agree that having shot on a whale lens with such a range, you can decide for yourself what to buy next. I perceive whale glass to master the manual mode and understand the logic of photography. Until I tried the used m42 135mm and 200mm (together 4000), I did not imagine that there was a telephoto. now I am convinced that the easiest option to decide what focal length is pleasant to shoot is to buy a used manual optics. Before that, I hurried, bought after 18-55 the vaunted 15-85 here and regretted it, since the miracle did not happen. and I gave 18 pieces. eventually sold. PS. I've been using it occasionally for 10 years now. In 2022, I used a lot to shoot interiors. I glued several pictures in Photoshop, because the 18mm angle was not enough. But still rescued the lens.
