I like the way these are made. I have a year and a half year old chiweenie (Daschund chihuahua mix that is on the larger size) Parents were not mini - He weights 22 lbs. and his measurements by the sizing chart were at the very top end of the large and at the bottom of the x-large. I went with the extra-large - unfortunately, there was about an inch and a half too much room with the smallest adjustments that could be made. His measurements are as follows: Girth: 21 and 1/2 inches around the largest part which is from behind the front legs over the top of his back and his neck measures 12.5 inches. I measured exactly with a sewing tape measure. These measurements are the top end of the Large harness and I was afraid the large would be too tight. I should have gone with the Large considering these do have some extra room in them. returning the extra-large and will update once the large size gets here.
