I love cutting boards. But with all the fuss about germs and bacteria, I've basically ditched all "wooden" cutting boards. Until I found out that bamboo has natural antibacterial properties. Decided to try this great cutting board. It measures approximately 11" x 8" and is just over 1/2" thick. It is made from solid bamboo that has been laminated together. The lamination is very well done. No rips or gaps. " Receive it , since it is made of environmentally friendly materials, unlike other wood. It also includes food grade silicone for grips and non-slip properties. The bamboo surface has been milled so that there is a groove to catch liquid. Convenient when cutting Wet vegetables and fruit. I've been using this cutting board for about a week and it still looks brand new. As they claim, no stains are left on the bamboo. Just a quick wash in the sink and it looks like new. There are quite a few knife marks on it, you really have to "look" to see it. Pretty enough to stay on the countertop. The size makes it perfect for impromptu feasts like salami and cheese board. You can serve salami and cheese along with some peperoncini, radish, green onions, right on the board and it looks amazing grams! Add in a loaf of crusty bread and a bottle of wine and everyone will think it's a gourmet meal! I got one of these 11-d inch Neoflam Flutto bamboo cutting boards in exchange for a review. Like you, I rely on these reviews for my own purchases. So this is my honest opinion. I would recommend this cutting board to anyone as a gift or for their own use.
