I needed a new set of chopping boards as the old ones I had were very dirty and made of plastic which contained bacteria. I decided to look for a good, inexpensive set of bamboo cutting boards. I read the reviews and went and ordered. The cutting boards arrived in perfect condition. I immediately unfolded them and found a small sheet of "legs" for the underside of the cutting boards. They were well wrapped in plastic and I didn't find any chips or cracks. I greased the cutting boards with oil and left them overnight. The next day I hand washed them in warm soapy water and towel dried them. I don't want her again. Then I applied the "legs". The thickness is perfect. I'm not looking for an overly thick, heavy cutting board to mess with. I have arthritis in my hands and it's pretty easy for me to deal with. Cutting boards have handy cut-outs at the bottom for portability. They seem very hard and when I sliced some peppers I didn't notice any marks on the board! So far I am very happy with my purchase. They do well on my counter where I can get them easily and I use them every day. If you oil them and take good care of them without putting them in the dishwasher, they will last a long time.
