The case is very heavy and thick. I expected it to be about the size of a tarp. But its real fabric is similar to that used for fish houses in winter. Much stronger than I expected. There were no instructions with the lid. Also, there were no markings on the cover which side was up and which was left etc. That was your best guess. The size is not as stated. I have a Kia Sedona and it doesn't fit. It's about 9 inches too short / not wide enough. Also, I really like the durability. It's heavy (weight) but not so heavy that I can't put the cover on my van by myself. The straps get in the way. They have an elastic waistband and are a bit thin. But the hooks that attach the straps to the vehicle are made of thick, durable plastic. If the straps break or wear out, I can easily replace them myself. Also, you need to figure out how to store the cover until it dries. With a van, for example, I don't have a trunk to throw it in until it's dry. I don't care about melting snow all over the cabin as long as I keep it in my van while it dries. Even after shaking off excess snow, there's still too much snow to put back in the carry bag. Therefore, it must be dried and thawed before putting it back in the case. But where to save.? Ideally hang it on a clothesline, but this is impractical and impossible in an apartment. Not when the person is at work.
