Installed in a 2017 Crossstrek. The installation went quickly. Open the glove box. On the bottom right side is a small bar with an eyelet that slides over a post attached to the glove box. Slide the pole out of the rack. To the left and right of the glove box are short round posts that prevent the glove box from opening fully. Push on the sides of the glove box and when the struts come out of the glove box opening, the glove box swings out of the way and onto the floor. With the glove box removed you can see two sets of plastic tabs on the old filter. Grasp the tabs, push in and pull out the old filter. Insert the new one into the hole until it clicks and reverse the process.
