I've used other yarns for years, it's soft and the skein is 185 yards. It also costs $6 to $9 per skein. I knit about 5ft by 5ft wool blankets with an "I" hook and it takes about 6 skeins with another yarn. This blanket only requires 2 skeins of "Big Ball" yarn and I use a "J" crochet hook. It's soft, doesn't flake, is the same size as the others and the price couldn't be better. I will save enough money to be able to afford to make many more blankets for older men and women in my community. I'm so excited.
