From my testing, this thing appears to be horizontally polarized, which to my knowledge isn't clearly stated anywhere. Although conditions vary, this means you'll likely get better performance rotating it 90 degrees (as if you were mounting it on a wall) than orienting it base-up or down, as on shown in the product photo. a bit disappointed - even with the antenna pointed in the right direction I don't get any better performance than some Eightwood 6dbi omnidirectional antennas which are much cheaper (and have a longer cable). It's more sensitive where it is in the room. I think it's possible to get better performance than high gain omnidirectional antennas, but for most people I would recommend using omnidirectional antennas instead. Given how sensitive this antenna is to positioning and pointing, I really wish they had given us a few feet of longer cable.
