
I like this idea. Standard devices that use a stylus can be difficult to set up. The pins bend and are difficult to insert and remove. This replacement will probably work fine, but it could certainly be better. First, there is no spring in a spring clip. Only friction keeps the clamp in place. My concern is that it might move if rocks hit it. I think it would be better if the tabs were a bit shorter to allow the "spring" clips to fold all the way around and under the L bracket. They would be more reliable and I would worry less about them coming loose. As you can see from the photo, the clamp does not sit flat on the WD spring bar. This is probably not a problem, but it would be better if it was and fit like the original clips.
