Review on C4Labs Cloudlet CASE: Cluster Case For Raspberry Pi And Other Single Board Computers-Mist by Luis Penczak

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Yes and a few not good for computers and accessories

Advantages -1. The green color scheme on black looks amazing.2. The case itself is made of thick, strong plastic.3. Below is space for a network switch. I cut a hole in the back and inserted a 16 port gigabyte switch.4. I like how the cards fit together. Although it gets a bit more difficult the more Pi you put in. Disadvantages -1. Heat: I have 6 RPI 3B+ boards and 2 RPI4 boards. All RBI 3Bs have heat sinks. RPI 4 have their own heatsink and two fans. But the row of fans at the back of the case can't handle the amount of heat generated. Of course, the switch also adds some heat and limits the space for airflow. I drilled two rows of vents at the top between the cards to vent the heat. I also use an attachable USB fan to blow cold air from the front. Works perfectly. 2. Very few options for cable routing. I had to enlarge the opening for the switch to allow the USB power cables to run through the back to the multiport cell phone charger.3. POE can be used, but POE caps are expensive and generate even more heat.4. After a while, the clamps holding the pi cards loosen and the cards start falling out like rotten teeth. Definitely needs a design change. Overall this is a great looking setup that makes for a very functional Pi server rack. Just watch out for heat build-up inside the case. It will likely require some tweaking to meet your design goals. But hey, that's half the fun of doing tech stuff. Right? Basically I am satisfied with the product.
