Hey guys, this is my review about The Scooter Shop. I'd like you to read this because it might save you from the troubles which I've experienced with them.
It all started when I decided that my old scooter just couldn't handle my weight anymore and so needed a new one. Luckily they had one in stock so I didn't have to wait very long before riding again. It was brand new in the box and came without assembly instructions so I called their customer service number (which by the way is closed on weekends). Within an hour someone was at my door with instructions but after assembly it turned out that they forgot to send me some important screws with the package (you know - for attaching leg rests). So I called again and the customer service agent said that she'll send me some right away.
I waited three days but nothing arrived so I called them again. The customer service rep asked for the tracking number of the package, which I told him, but after he looked it up he explained to me that they didn't have any in stock anyway so there's no way they could've sent any even if they wanted to. What? So my only option was to drive all the way into Montreal (where their warehouse is) to pick up the missing parts myself. After two hours of driving I arrived at their headquarters, met with a really nice guy who gave me 250$ worth of screws and went home happily ever after... Or not!
You see, my new scooter didn't come with any warranty information whatsoever. I called customer service again and after waiting for half an hour I finally got through to someone who told me that they'll send the papers via email within 48 hours. My scooter was delivered on January 17th so it's been over two weeks now and still nothing has arrived by mail - not even a confirmation email! So I've emailed them asking about this but haven't heard back yet... What kind of company is this?!
I know there are other companies out there which sell great products but you don't have to go through all these problems just for buying something.
Take it from me, The Scooter Shop is not the place you want to go if you're looking for a pleasant shopping experience.
