Revainrating 5 out of 5

Seller - NO Stars. Product: 5 stars!

I have ordered this product and am expecting it a few days before leaving town. I wanted to install it on my boat during our vacation as I needed it where we were planning to sail. He never arrived. When I returned from vacation after 10 days I contacted the seller through Revain. They replied that they didn't know what happened to him and would return the money to me. I am waiting for my VISA application to make sure it is done. No longer available from this provider. ("The Nerds") As for the product, I have installed this converter on 2 other boats and am very happy with it. I like the fact that nothing can break behind or under the case. Just note that with a sandwich construction (common with modern fiberglass cases), you'll need to drill through the inner lining and peel off the foam to install it on the outer shell. After installing it on my other two boat hulls, the sensor gave excellent readings at rest and very good readings at speed. One of the boats is capable of about 35 mph and the other ran in the mid 40's. When the water was calm and I wasn't manoeuvring, they held the bottom very well at 2'-350'. Any time you blow air under a transducer you will lose bottom lock, but I've found this to be a bigger problem with a transducer on the back of a boat than shooting through the hull.
