Review on Power supply 12V, 40A, 500W (Hongwei HW-12V-500W) by Jnis Bisters ᠌
Great value for money, one of the best offers.
I took it to a 180 W compressor pump, which had already "killed" more than one power supply (12V to 200W), but this time I decided to take a power supply with a margin - I attached a 220 plug and a car socket to it. It works well, the compressor pulls, it shows 12.3V at idle, you can adjust plus or minus a couple of volts by adjusting the unit. If anything - swap the neutral (N) and phase (L) in reverse, it works, since the voltage is simply rectified)
I hope these photos help to give a fuller picture of my experience.
- It works, for me it gives out a current with a margin. There is a trimming resistor for regulating the output voltage, 14V seems to give out normally without any special drawdown of characteristics.
- Only the power supply is included - all wires must be purchased separately. But this is more a feature than a drawback.
