These are great little flashlights with very good power despite their small size. They are dependable, though I'm not as sure that the "O" rings keep all water out if you happen to be using them in hard rain / very wet conditions - I have not had one fail.The quality is generally very good, just not totally consistent between units. For the price you can say 'so what?' and I'd agree. We use these as emergency lights for our small Costa Rica hotel for when the electricity fails (too often). The only manufacturing inconsistencies I note are: (1) The battery compartment cap on a few turns roughly rather than smoothly as a well-machined unit would; (2) the sliding focus forward end on some is looser, on some it's tighter - I like tighter, but that is me. All the lights work, all are very usable and function as expected. I bought some previously and made an additional purchase to replace some we lost when hotel guests 'forgot' they had them. I highly recommend this product.
