Surprised at how flimsy, flimsy and cheap this thing looks. This is "lighter weight" than the original factory gas cap. It is not intended to attach the factory tether to the car. Every time I fill up I worry about two things: 1) Will the key break in the slot while I'm unscrewing the cap? Seems likely. 2) Will that plastic ratchet that "locks" the cap fail resulting in my not being able to remove the cap? Seems likely as it often takes multiple attempts to remove the cover (see 1 above). Finally. Given the "lightweight" plastic this thing is made of. It seems to me that a determined and ruthless thief with a simple crowbar that could damage my car could quickly deal with it. Conversely, I take comfort in the fact that if the lock fails (see 2 above) I can remove it with the tools I have on hand so I can refuel. My advice? Go find a better one. Don't buy this.
