Sorry, this adapter doesn't work with Mac. The chipset is an Asix AX88179 which is not included in macOS. So you need a third party driver. StarLink comes with a CD, but who uses a CD for drivers these days? My Mac doesn't even have a CD drive. It's not good form to ask for strange third-party drivers for what is supposed to be a generic product. Something as simple and straightforward as a USB to Ethernet adapter doesn't require a third-party driver. I don't want to jeopardize my Mac's stability by installing fake 3rd party kernel extensions as I made a mistake once. So I got a USB to Ethernet adapter from Anker instead. Anker was fully supported by macOS and worked the first time it was plugged in.
