not good for colder weather, bad straps break

Update - So I decided to use this rack on a trip to the Pocono Mountains, the weather was under 30. Maybe 25, the straps just broke like cheap plastic . I could not believe my eyes. Failed in 2 minutes. It seems to work in the heat, but in cold weather those straps are useless. I do not recommend. Good sturdy bike rack; I use it to transport 4 bikes 2 adults and 2 children. It's a little tight, but it works. No complaints. I almost bought Thule from Dix for $250, but it's just as good for $100 less. It went into the 2" hitch easily but lost a bit (wobbled), the included nut takes care of that. It also comes with a pair of straps, a bike lock, and a kickstand, which is great.

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • poorly thought out
