Review on πŸš— Pentagon Under Vehicle Car Dollies with Heavy Duty Roller Wheel Casters - Set of 4, Black by Michael Colley

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nice skates, but they REALLY need locking wheels.

I bought them to move cars in the garage. These are very good skates, easy to push and maneuver and work well but two elements in the design are disappointing. First, they don't have wheel locks. The Pentagon sells several other kits that have wheel locks, even some of them are cheaper than this one, but for some stupid reason they don't have wheel locks. Considering how easily cars move on these roller skates, locking the wheels would save me from having a small set of wheel chocks on hand. Second, they have a flat bottom instead of a single V-shaped slide. This is an issue if you're looking for a way to put these skates on the shelf when not in use, which I do about 85% of the time. All budget racks, including the Pentagon, are designed for V-style skates. Even the pentagonal stand doesn't fit, although according to listings it does. If you leave your car on roller skates for a long time, the V style is probably a little better for the tires than those flat bottom roller skates. bottom line? Find a set of ball bearing wheels AND wheel locks and consider the shape of the skates, flat bottom or V.
