I teach a hydroponics/aquaponics course at a local university and part of the course is about growing microgreens in floating beds. In short, it requires students to distribute exactly 10 grams of fairly expensive seeds per tray, less and we lose space, more and the seeds crowd each other out. We use this scale to measure our portions. Some highlights: What we like: - Accurate. Matches or exceeds the accuracy of our other two balances, both of which are older but purchased from the scientific equipment supply chain. - Protected. The hard plastic case and cover protect the weighing table perfectly. Big ad. Especially good because half of us wear glasses that fog up over masks. Runs on batteries. Portable is good - instructions in the envelope. Because in fact, the supplied sheet of paper will be lost in a week. - Calibrated. A 50g calibration weight is included, a nice feature but I suspect it will soon be lost too. What we didn't like: - I'm pretty sure I'll be reported as a marijuana seller for ordering a few. Overall, it meets our needs and exceeds our expectations for the price. Excellent, reliable mini scale.
