Needles have a learning curve.
I prefer the shorter circular needle option to double needle or Magic Loop for certain projects. The shorter sizes are a bit awkward for me - not enough to hold onto, but I was able to use them. I'm looking forward to the next project to really see if I can improve my knitting process. I think the key is to be patient and it will come. ChiaoGoo makes great knitting needles and I have several of the needles and sets they make.
