These are fantastic replacement needles! The connections are very smooth and do not get caught in the yarn. Tips are not accidentally disabled in the middle of a project. The combination of short and long needlepoints and three cord lengths (that can be tied into longer lengths) gives you more flexibility of use from the sleeve to the body of the sweater. The sharp tips are great for work too.

Excellent needles! The shorter tips are heavy and feel comfortable. Longer tips feel hollow but also work smoothly. The red ones have very thin cables, so sometimes it seems like there is no cable at all. Which may seem strange. My main complaint is that the red kit only comes with one wire connector and the blue kit comes with two. This allows you to combine all 3 cables and use this set for a much wider range of cable sizes.

So glad I invested in these 9 inch circulars. The connections are tight (make sure you use wrenches - tighten but not over tighten) and seamless, the tips are sharp and comfortable. So far I've used them for circular patterns, socks, leg warmers, cat sweaters and mittens. On the smaller sizes, the needles are very small and thin and take some getting used to because they are so tiny. It doesn't require any more tuning than other 9" circulars, but it's noticeable. I prefer the shorter circular needle option to double needle or Magic Loop for certain projects. The shorter sizes are a bit awkward for me - not enough to hold onto, but I was able to use them. I'm looking forward to the next project to really see if I can improve my knitting process. I think the key is to be patient and it will come. ChiaoGoo makes great knitting needles and I have several of the needles and sets they make.

I sent them back immediately. The length of the tip, although listed as short, was extremely uncomfortable for me. There is only a two inch needle to hold and maneuver. I ran out of pain in my arms, which never happens with needle tips twice as long – including in the umbilical cord. I returned them very quickly. 2 inch needles are inconveniently short. The 3 inch needles are so short that they are very uncomfortable to hold. The tips (pointed end) of the needle are too long for this size, leaving little to no room for stitches. The cables were fine. However, I prefer the standard red ChiaoGoo cable.
