Review on ๐Ÿฉณ Meripex Apparel Men's Freeballer 8" Athletic Gym Performance Sport Shorts โ€“ Optimal for Running, Weightlifting, and Yoga by Johnny Burns

Revainrating 3 out of 5

More cons than pros, but not quite Birddogs

Pros:* Very soft/comfortable for everyday wear* Fast shipping* About half the size of Birddogs Cons:* Large size too tight for "something Taller" than the average man, Meripex has to add the XL option.* This literally means "Freeballer" in contrasting font, big enough to be read from a safe distance. I understand it is shown in the photos but the font size is larger than expected. I can't wear them in public as an adult. Recommend replacing with Meripex, Freerunner, pretty much everything. * No belt loops included, this would be a nice addition to hide the elastic when wearing outside of the gym * Zippered pockets are a bit small to hold a regular wallet size. Here, too, the usability outside of the gym is limited. *One-piece underwear sounds good, but no matter how clean you stay all day, you probably won't (hopefully) wear these shorts more than once without washing them (which is typical for birddogs). * Not the best swimsuit. When the material gets wet, it becomes airtight and traps air, creating a tube effect when submerged in water. The lining material is also airtight at this point, so trapped air can only be pushed down and out through the leg opening. This results in a huge bubble that looks like you've created enough wind to push the sailboat. After a swim, the shorts continue to retain moisture, making it harder to dry out (which is common with birddogs).

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
