NONE NEED TO CAPTURE! . SERIOUSLY !

Okay I can go back many years before flat screen GPS. I have a Garmin and used a friction mount which was round and large (GPS units were bigger and heavier in those days) but had to use a windshield mount with it. Even when mounted vertically, the windshield mount stopped sucking, and I finally mounted an old Garmin on a friction mount with a decent rim. The problem with windshield mounts today and 20 years ago is that they are riddled with dust or dirt. they lose their suction power on the rubberized suction surface. I think some things never change. Not so with this ingenious design that holds everything in place without the need for suction, making this Garmin friction mount the best and easiest way to safely use your GPS. There is no fear of the GPS navigator falling or detaching as is the case with the windshield mount. In addition, you can position the GPS navigator closer to your eyes or in a safe line of sight. I like the modest size and weight. The bottom gripping surface seems almost identical to my old round one that still grips after countless years. I see some reviewers saying that grip is somewhat lost over time. My suggestion would be to keep the top of the dash and the surface of the friction mount handle clean. I would just use a dab of dish soap and a damp cloth. Only when needed would I use that cheap, sticky, and safe putty that sticks notes to the wall without leaving any damage or residue. Another solution could be a velcro strap for even more support. The thing is, if and when help is needed, there is a simple and inexpensive solution that will work for you and your taste. As far as I know, this is not a question of the future. After all, it's unlikely there's a better way to use and stabilize your GPS.
