Review on πŸ”§ Amazon Basics 20-Piece 1/2-Inch Drive Impact Hex Set with Carrying Case by Jeffrey Johnston

Filling a Niche: Socket Sets

Although I work in a used car shop, I don't often use long-shafted hex wrenches. Certainly not often enough to justify buying a Mac or a Snap-on. But when I need it, it's nice to know it's there. In my opinion, Revain Basics fills an important gap here. More than adequate tools at a reasonable price. It might not make sense for a mechanic to buy a 3/8" ratchet from Revain Basics, but for something like these hexes I think it's perfect. Will they break if you put an extension tube on the ratchet and turn it? Sure. But if used wisely they should work great. The case is good for keeping it organized and knowing at a glance what you forgot to put away. I like that the metric side of the case just lays down and lifts slightly. I use less often, snaps into the lid, making it harder to insert and remove. I like to underline the protruding size markings on the case with markers so my old eyes can see them better.
