Fiction! Best in Computers & Accessories

I needed a faster connection to my Internet router than my WLAN offered. While I connected a 100 Mbps Internet connection to my router via Ethernet, I only got 45 Mbps over the WiFi connection. And in some parts of my house, the speed was as low as 18Mbps. I've tried powerline ethernet devices that plug into your outlets, but while in parts of the house with poor WiFi signal, they have speeds of up to 30 -40 Mbit/s, I had intermittent problems. Sometimes the speed of the connection dropped sharply or even periodically lost the signal for a few seconds. I suspect it is related to other electrical devices turning on in the house and interfering with the signal. In any case I had to send them back as it was too unreliable. Then I came across these devices that were using the existing coax cable in my house and since I no longer had coax TV service in my house the cable had no signals at all. Since they were so cheap too, I decided to give it a try. Setup was easy as I just had to go where all the coax connections were still tied together from my old dish-based TV service and plug the cables back in. . I found the cable that went into the room where my internet router was and replaced it with the entryway. Then I made the terminations of all other cables on the splitter. I connected one of these devices to a router and screwed the cable into a coaxial port in the wall. I then went into the room where my home office is located, connected to the coax connection and hooked up an ethernet cable to my computer. I immediately had an 80Mbps connection on my laptop! I've been using it for a week now and haven't experienced any signal drops or other issues. Everything works perfectly! I also have the ability to put my laptop in any room where I have a coax connection and just plug it in to get the same speed. Very good!
