This is a much better alternative for test building a system than using a motherboard box. However, it is not free of bugs. The posts use a screw with a different thread pitch than any case I have, so you'll have to keep up with the manufacturer-supplied screws. Not a big problem, but a small annoyance. A more serious problem is that the riser supports PCI-E cards. There doesn't seem to be a way to really protect your cards with the supports that come with them. Overall, I would rate it as good, but not outstanding.
