I bought 7 of these 150 watt red heat lamps. They just don't last. I had blown 3 of them overnight and the other 4 only lasted a week before they blew too. One of them cracked/crashed during use and I don't know why that happened? They have not been mishandled, dropped, bumped, moved, vibrated, broken or powered when turned on. They simply burned out after just a few hours of use. I bought these to use in place of the typical off the shelf 250w red incandescent bulbs (Phillips and GE) I used previously to conserve electricity in the warmer months to keep my pets warm and they didn't need that much heat. I would get 6 months out of 250 with them 24/7. I hope others had better results than me?
