Perfect Basking Lights

Perfect match for my homemade prototype sauna. 250-watt lightbulbs are too hot to be comfortable, so these 150-watt lightbulbs are just the ticket.

Pros
  • Set of 4 Exo Terra Heat-Glo Infrared Heater 150W/120V
Cons

FIRE HAZARD!: Reptiles and Amphibians

Went through all four bulbs in less than two weeks and the last one I had literally exploded, scattering broken glass everywhere and catching fire! DO NOT BUY THESE!

Pros
  • Increases the overall air temperature in the terrarium
Cons
  • Problem

They didn't last long

I bought 7 of these 150 watt red heat lamps. They just don't last. I had blown 3 of them overnight and the other 4 only lasted a week before they blew too. One of them cracked/crashed during use and I don't know why that happened? They have not been mishandled, dropped, bumped, moved, vibrated, broken or powered when turned on. They simply burned out after just a few hours of use. I bought these to use in place of the typical off the shelf 250w red incandescent bulbs (Phillips and GE) I used…

Pros
  • Powerful Infrared Source
Cons
