Don't rely on too much weight

I've read mixed reviews about how much weight to put on this style of arm, but I've tempered my expectations, since i knew that at certain angles a few ounces of difference could make it move i was right i would say 1lb is a reasonable amount of weight to put this thing at most angles but if You stretch it all the way and the weight is off the center of gravity doesn't hold it either. The weak point is actually near the clamp at the bottom, where the locking knob screws just press against the side of the small rod you insert into the clamp. It was very easy to move even though he drove to the limit. The rest is nice to make adjustments. I don't dare mount a small camera like the Fuji X100V on it, but now I use it to mount my RODE VideoMic Pro+ as a pole to get sound above me and from the camera when I'm recording videos on my desk . . to mount my RODE VideoMic Pro+ as a pole to get audio above me and off the camera when recording video on my desk. . to mount my RODE VideoMic Pro+ as a pole to get audio above me and off the camera when recording video on my desk. .
