It's solid enough for a lightweight webcam but doesn't feel as durable, but again it's not necessary for a webcam. Also, the bite on the mount doesn't open wide enough to accommodate my desk, which has a 2.5-inch thick rim. This edge hides a built-in desk drawer. Overall I like it because it's very adjustable and strong enough.

I've read mixed reviews about how much weight to put on this type of hand, but I've tempered my expectations, knowing that at certain angles there can be a few grams difference make out it moves. This is a really great stand that will not only work well with your webcam but also with your phone. I had a basic selfie stick mount and it held my phone well. The stand attaches to almost any surface, isn't very thick, and doesn't leave a mark. Very easy to use, you can adjust the height and depth of the stand and then tighten to ensure it stays where you want it.

I think if you had a small camera like a Go Pro it would be functional. But with my mirrorless, it's struggling to hold the weight. The plastic handles are thin.
