If I can, so can you :D

I was hesitant to fix the window on my CR-V but decided to try. I am a woman over 50 with a disability. but probably a little more than a typical mechanical experience. Before ordering this replacement part, I removed the door panel on the car. I had never done this before but with the help of Mr. Google who took me to the Honda CR-V Owners Club Forum where I found detailed instructions with pictures I was able to remove the panel, inspect the mechanism and also the door reinstall. Plate looks like new! Here's the link<.> The part arrived, but without installation instructions, and since my daughter is expecting a baby any day and I'm looking forward to a trip to New York soon, I thought I'd try to install a new controller today . It was easy to install with no problems! Works great: I found installation instructions here on the same CR-V owners forum <.> Some things I learned. To remove the door handle, remove the screw and then slide the plastic handle bracket toward the front of the vehicle to remove. The screws holding the window to the regulator were very tight, but a little squirt of liquid wrench made them easier to loosen. To remove the old controller, you need to unscrew the six screws. The new controller comes with two screws already partially installed. You can leave them on, put the regulator in the hole, and hang the new regulator on those studs on the door frame. Don't forget to reconnect the speaker before reinstalling the door panel (forgot the first time). And make sure the door lock plug is accessible before screwing the liner back in. I am very happy with this product and the ease of installation. The whole thing took me less than two hours and I did it myself! woohoo!
