Welded on my 2008 Chevy Silverado 5.3L yesterday and after reading the reviews it was a little louder than I was expecting. It's not too loud, but there is more noise in the cockpit than I expected. On the plus side, it weighs about half the weight of a standard muffler, saving you about 25 pounds. Overall I'm happy with it for the price. Update: I've decided to downgrade this review to 3 stars because I feel the muffler is getting louder. I checked my welds and everything is fully sealed. I've read reviews on this muffler and also on the stainless version and they all say it's a bit louder than the stock exhaust, which isn't true. Even on the highway, a loud rumble can be heard in the cockpit. I used to have a 40 series muffler on another Chevy V8 and this muffler is almost as loud. I would recommend getting the 70 series if you don't need a loud muffler.
