I just received it and was dying to try it. At first I was disappointed. The hose is plastic and it bends all the time, but I didn't break it and figured out how to avoid it. I started with a shaggy carpet that has gotten a little dirty since my old vacuum died last week. I figured out the height adjustment on the end bracket and here we go. Within three minutes I checked the filter. Impressive. I can't even believe how much this little thing sucked! Can't wait to get the rest of the carpeting and tile floors done. I'm almost looking forward to sucking boxwood bugs out of the window sills this summer! I read some of the negative reviews and almost didn't buy it, but the price and the references to its strength convinced me. VERY glad I chose this. Keep in mind that this is NOT a vertical design and it's easy to roll over carpet, but the suction power makes up for the small imperfections in my opinion. My deceased vacuum was a Eureka Optima pet vacuum and this vacuum wins in terms of suction power. I gave it one star because I think the tubing and elevation arm could be a bit better.
