Ordered this for the through the door mailbox. Covers the rear slot well and came in black which is good as it matches our black iron door. Our dog is curious about this and has only pulled the mail out once so hopefully his mail "problems" will settle down now too. We considered several options including installing the back of the mailbox or installing the mailbox outside as the postman keeps leaving the front open after dropping the mail and living in a very hot climate was a waste of energy. It was an expensive option, but also quick and easy to install. I love it. I hope the velcro will last, it would be nice to get an extra kit with the package.
