I bought these for a kids play set. The instructions in general are very poor: they looked like they were written in Chinese and then sent through a translator, and the template didn't work, which is probably a size issue, as another reviewer put it. Overall the installation wasn't horrible, I installed the top 4.5" from the edge and the bottom I installed when it was closed by squeezing the post itself and marking the holes on the bracket with a pencil, which gave me approximate information a 90 degree angle gave opening. If you don't have access to the subpage like me, then you might need a bit more trial and error. Overall they seem to be working pretty well once installed, we'll see if they hold up.
